Martin & Demitri are collectors. Collectors of collections: old photographs, camera, signs, found objects, and much more. They are captivated by decay, which is evidence of timepassing.
Using materials from the past trying to create a world straddling dreams and reality. Thier attempts to re-create the presence of a person or a place with the different types of "Housing" as well as the emotional/psychological impact that an experience has on one. These pieces can be considered self portraiture of internal landscapes and are direct references to our internal struggles.
Together they work to create a sense of wonder in the viewer. It is a journey into some dark corner of life, while simultaneously a journey into their minds.
