Scapes - Edward Joseph's Landscapes are an appreciation of the wetlands and marshes that still survive along the North Shore and the east end of Long Island.
Joseph is particulary drawn to the quiet secluded places that are still realitively unblemished by our suburban intrusion into the natural world. He captures the feeling of tranquility and the sense of connection with the real world, a floating world, which is constantly changing even as it retains its timeless quality. The lush softness and the reflective serenity of the wetlands act as a restorative to the stresses of contemporary life.
